PCV Follow-up Study (2010 -2012)

Funding comes from Commonwealth Serum Laboratories Study and the study conducted for 2 years.
This study follows children who were recruited into the neonatal PCV study when they reached 3-5 years of age. The children are given a low dose of PPV to determine whether they respond to this dose or not. If they do not respond to the low dose of vaccine then this will answer our hypothesis that multiple exposures can be detrimental by not initiating an immune response. This is being conducted in collaboration with
Telethon Institute of Child Health Research and School of Pediatrics and Child Health and thev University of Western Australia.
